Picks Against the Spread for Entire Bowl Season

Picks Against the Spread for Entire Bowl Season Printable Schedule

The 2010 College Bowl schedule is out and so are the Las Vegas lines provided by the Las Vegas Hilton. The bowl season begins with the New Mexico Bowl and will culminate with the BCS Championship game between.

All times listed are Eastern time zone. ESPN: New Mexico Bowl

This game comes down to one simple fact. UTEP cannot stop the run and BYU is going to pound the ball on the round. 12 points is alot of points but may be accurate in Jordy Nelson Super Bowl 49 Jersey this game. Take the BYU Cougars 12. uDrove Humanitarian Bowl in Boise

Northern Illinois 2.5 vs Fresno State

Northern Illinois is another team that loves to run. The have averaged over 266 yards per game rushing this season and they are 9 3 against Jordy Nelson Super Bowl XLIX Jersey the spread and 5 3 against the spread when away from home. Fresno State has been a disappointment this season especially with bettors. they are 5 6 against the spread. Take Northern Illinois 2.5. ESPN: R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl

Ohio University vs Troy Pick em

Ohio University and Troy are evenly matched. Looking into their records against the spread the Ohio University has the edge with a record of 8 4 against the spread. Troy is terrible against the spread at 4 8. Only one problem in this game. There is no spread. Take Ohio University and cross your fingers in this game. ESPN: Beef 'O' Brady's St Petersburg Bowl

Louisville 3.5 vs Southern Mississippi

This game is close looking at the two teams. Both teams are 6 6 against the spread and both teams are decent defensively. Take Southern Mississippi +3.5. ESPN: MAACO Las Vegas Bowl

Utah vs Boise St 16.5

Utah was one win away from a BCS bowl game until they ran into TCU. Boise State's 2010 story is known by everyone in the country. Now the two will meet in Las Vegas for the best bowl game of the early season. Utah always tends to play well in bowl games as does Boise St. Take Utah +16.5 and Boise St to win straight up if picking in an office pool without lines. ESPN: San Diego CCU Poinsettia Bowl

Navy vs San Diego State Pick

This will be a loud Eddie Lacy Super Bowl XLIX Jersey game in the home of the San Diego State Aztecs. Who has the home field advantage? Believe it or not Navy will have more supporters in this game. San Diego is one of the largest Navy ports in the country and they will be in attendance for this game.

This will be a game against the best rushing team in the 2010 bowl series, Navy against the decent passing game of the San Diego State Aztecs. Navy can grind down a defense and this will be the difference. Take Navy over San Diego State. ESPN: Sheraton Hawaii Bowl

Tulsa vs Hawaii 12

This game is easy to pick on the surface. Hawaii is at home for their bowl game against Tulsa, a Eddie Lacy Super Bowl 49 Jersey hand picked opponent for their bowl game. Hawaii has covered 11 of their 13 games against the spread and this one looks easy. Take Hawaii 12 but for those making confidence picks go low. ESPN: Little Caesars Bowl in Detroit

Florida International vs Toledo 2

Gamblers are the only people that will care about this game and those that are in their office pools. Take Toledo 2.

Georgia Tech vs Air Force Falcons 2.5

Georgia Tech and Air Force that have had difficulty covering the spread this season. This game will be www.packersauthenticofficialshop.com/AARON_RODGERS_SUPER_BOWL_JERSEY.html a ground and pound affair by two teams that love to run packersauthenticofficialshop.com/CLAY_MATTHEWS_SUPER_BOWL_JERSEY.html the football. Georgia Tech has the slight edge in this game when it comes to covering the spread and that is the difference. Take Georgia Tech +2.5.

Handicapping Texas A QB Johnny Manziel's chances

Handicapping Texas A QB Johnny Manziel's chances to win a second Heisman

He was at it again late Saturday night. The sports craziness that unfolded at the Cotton Bowl and between the hedges at Georgia and in Fenway Park had been put to bed. And Johnny Football was at it again.

It was not a perfect performance that Johnny Manziel delivered in Oxford, Miss. He threw an interception, his fifth of the season. He fumbled the ball. But on fourth down, he did what winners do. And he completed 80 percent of his passes. And he totaled 470 yards. And he led the Aggies past Mississippi, 41 38.

Texas A is ranked No. 7 in the nation despite a defense that might not be one of the top 50, depending upon how one chooses to make that evaluation. And so the 870 media voters (yes, I have a vote) and 57 living Heisman winners (yes, he has a vote) must begin to make that evaluation once again.

If Johnny Manziel is the best player in college football again this season, does he deserve a second Heisman Trophy?

There are two questions at work here. Let's start with the one about if he deserves it after an off season in which Johnny Football seemed determined to move the Heisman permanently to Animal House.

With the passage of time, what did that amount to? A lot of indications of underage drinking, which we can't condone but we can't pretend it violates standards set by previous Heisman winners.

A lot of autograph signing, for which Manziel may have lined his already deep pockets although the NCAA found no proof and settled for a two quarters suspension against Rice.

A lot of Vontae Davis Super Bowl Jersey thumbing his nose at the establishment by, among other things, acting irresponsibly at the Mannings' football camp and showing up at a UT frat party in a Tebow jersey.

Some of these things are more embarrassing than others. But taken as a whole, do they eliminate Manziel from consideration for a trophy awarded to "the outstanding college player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity"?

I have no doubt that some media members have already ruled him out. I have not.

For one thing, I'm pretty sure I have voted for other players of suspect integrity. For another, to presume there is anything pristine about the current college football landscape where coaches, administrators and bowl officials are essentially printing money on the sweat of www.coltsofficialnflprostore.com/ANDREW_LUCK_SUPER_BOWL_JERSEY.html scholarship athletes is mindless.

When Manziel was handed the trophy in December, he was six months removed from handcuffs and a misdemeanor arrest. If that was OK, I'm hard pressed to figure out what he did this past off season that was worse.

That Vontae Davis Super Bowl 49 Jersey brings us to whether or not he's deserving. A year ago, Manziel won despite performances somewhere between "poor" and "average" in losses to Florida and LSU. This year Manziel was a tour de force in a 49 42 loss to Alabama.

Two key games take place this weekend regarding his Heisman competition.

When Florida State visits Clemson, two quarterback candidates will get a full evaluation. Clemson's Tajh Boyd and Florida State freshman Jameis Winston are probably on the top five lists of every Heisman voter.

The only place where they really beat Manziel is in fewer interceptions. The rest of Manziel's passing numbers are better, the competition he has faced is better (they haven't played Alabama) and he's a far more dangerous runner.

I don't think Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater has much of a Heisman chance even though the Cardinals may go undefeated. Voters will be inclined to look at their American Athletic Conference schedule the way candidates from Houston, Boise State and other "mid majors" have been viewed.

But Bridgewater (great passing stats, not a runner) at least gets a shot at the Friday night spotlight against a Central Florida team that gained credibility by losing to No. 12 South Carolina by a field goal.

The quarterback who most resembles Manziel is Oregon's Marcus Mariota, an established pass run threat who hasn't Pat McAfee Super Bowl XLIX Jersey seen much in the way of a challenge other than No. 16 Washington. If the Ducks stay undefeated after games with UCLA and Stanford, Mariota might be a http://www.coltsofficialnflprostore.com/TY_HILTON_SUPER_BOWL_JERSEY.html deserving No. 1 on Heisman ballots. Time will Pat McAfee Super Bowl Jersey tell on that one. McCarron, he may be on his way to a third national title, but I don't think he's headed down the road to his first Heisman. He's more than a "caretaker" for the Tide offense. I don't doubt that he will get votes, but, statistically, he falls short of the top contenders.

And for the last time (well, the last time here), he did not outplay Manziel in that memorable September game. Let McCarron take a shot at the Alabama defense while Manziel faces the Aggies. See how that one comes out.

The Aggies are home the next four Saturdays, meaning they should be 9 1 and ranked in the top five by the time they visit LSU and Missouri for their last two games.

I plan to be watching those games, unfinished Heisman ballot at my side. And I have no doubts that Johnny Football will put on a show that makes him worth every penny.

I'm talking about the price of tickets or your cable bill, naturally.

England denied momentous win by controversial bad light rule

England denied momentous win by controversial bad light rule

England has been denied what would have been a remarkable victory at The Oval, after the umpires called bad light cheap prom dresses with the home side just 21 runs from victory.

With just four overs remaining, England was 5 for 206 and closing in on the 227 Michael Clarke had set them for victory.

The decision to end play which is effectively out of the umpire's hands meant the match finished in a draw and England retained the Ashes with a 3 0 series win.

The grandstand finish had been set up by an entertaining day's cricket that had seen 17 wickets fall and 447 runs scored.

Clarke had declared his side's second innings at 6 for 111, leaving England 44 overs to chase victory after they had earlier been dismissed for 377 in their first innings.

England began the run chase in a positive fashion, with Cheap NFL Jerseys Alastair Cook (34) and Joe Root (11) both looking to play their strokes.

Jonathan Trott (59) also played a pivotal role in the innings, hitting his highest score of the series as he found his way back in to form.

But in the end it was a technicality that ended the match, as umpires Aleem Dar and HDPK Dharmasena adjudicated that it was too dark for the game to carry on.

Clarke, whose aggressive declaration gave England a sniff at victory, had complained about the light twice in what would be the final over of the day.

Fifth Ashes Test in pictures

Clarke hunts unlikely victory with tea time declarationHe may have been the ire of the sell out 26,000 crowd at The Oval by the close of play, but it was Clarke who gave England hope when he set them an enticing total with the aim of himself taking victory.

Clarke declared his side's innings at tea on 6 for 111 having earlier dismissed England for 377 after some entertaining pinch hitting from Matt Prior (47) and Graeme Swann (34).

The tourists began their second innings with intent, promoting Shane Watson (26) to open with David Warner (12), and moving James Faulkner (22) and Brad Haddin (0) to number three and four, respectively.

Despite the reshuffle, the Australian innings never got out of second gear.

Clarke cheap evening dresses online (28 not out) was the pick of the Australian batsmen, as tailenders Ryan Harris (1) and Mitchell Starc (13 not out) also received promotions at the expense of Chris Rogers, who was seemingly judged to have not been aggressive enough.

The declaration at tea gave Australia 44 overs to take 10 wickets and a morale boosting victory, but Australia's bowlers couldn't make any decisive inroads.

Faulkner makes mark on debutJames Faulkner was the stand out bowler for the Australians, claiming six wickets across the day with 4 for 51 in the first innings and 2 for 47 in the second.

He shared the wickets in the second innings with Ryan Harris named Australia's player of the series who dismissed Root and took the vital wicket of Pietersen.

Root's edge NFL Jerseys Wholesale to Brad Haddin gave the wicket keeper a world record 29 catches for the series, taking him past Rodney Marsh.

Pietersen and Trott looked to have been steering England toward a momentous victory, and with 13 overs remaining needed 79 runs for victory.

Pietersen, whose rapid fire knock was in stark contrast to the first innings where he faced 190 deliveries for his 50, took the game well and truly away from the Australians

By the time he eventually holed out to Warner at long on, Australia could only hope to salvage a draw.

Man of the series Ian Bell (17) and debutant Chris Woakes (17 not out) had the crowd on the edge of their seats as they guided the home side ever closer to victory.

But it was not to be, with Bell's run out to Mitchell Starc giving the officials time to run the much maligned light metre on to the field to the disappointment of the home crowd.

Clarke defends protesting lightAustralia resorted to gamesmanship the final over, going about their business as slowly as possible in an attempt to drag out play and disrupt England.

Starc was greeted with resounding boos as he pulled up at the crease after steaming in for a delivery.
